The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the push of one button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do and can pick up pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an improved filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think this is a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers.  robot vacuum that vacuums and mops  lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on higher-end models. And its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

The only issue is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones generate very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it comes across a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something requires attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify how the Q Revo will treat your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's clutter that must be cleaned out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are useful, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category and could mean it's slightly more expensive than some homeowners need.

It is designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving around the house. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
